This is the year for Catechesis and the Proclamation of the Word. It is a time for each of us to turn to the Word of God in our devotions and study. A very old practice of praying with the scriptures is called Lectio Divina. It is an opportunity for us to learn more about God's revelation to us through His Word.

Pope Benedict XVI has also proclaimed this to be the Year for Priests. Please remember our Priests in your daily prayers and pray for their vocation as well as for new vocations.
